Any momma to a 6 month to probably a 2 year old can relate to this blog post. Every time I’m headed out and taking Malcolm somewhere with me, I ALWAYS go over a mental checklist.
One of my bigger fears now as a mom, is going out with M and needing something and not having it… I was taught it’s better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it. You never know what can happen throughout the day in a life of a baby/toddler.
If we’re going for a quick here to there or going out shopping or out for the day, the list & bag differs. Today I’m going to share with you guys my mental check list for the quick trip bag and full day trip bag.
Quick Trip Diaper Bag
First off, I wanna say that I use a purse for my quick trip diaper bag. In cases of going from daddy’s to just running to the store quick. These items can ALWAYS be found in my quick trip bag.
- Huggins Clutch n’ Clean (although I’ll only use pampers diapers)
- 1 or 2 diapers
- Extra onesie
- Water Cup
- & if he’s sick, the medical bag, containing a thermometer, tylenol and a nose frida
Full Day Trip Diaper Bag
On days when I know we’ll be out shopping for awhile or going on a trip to see family, I’ll pack a real diaper bag will all the essentials that could maybe possibly be needed. Like I said before, I prefer, It’s better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it. These items are a must for a full day diaper bag;
- Travel Wipes (Filled the morning of)
- Full set of change of clothes, Maybe 2 sets
- Nursing Cover
- Finger Snacks
- Food to cover possible meals that will be missed
- Water cup with extra water
- Toys for entertainment
Although I do have many different kinds of diaper bags for different kinds of trips. They all generally get the same stuff in them. Depending on the length of the trip will depend on the quantity of each necessity that I pack.
